Product Description

Outcast and disgraced by false accusations, Gomez is forced to follow the path of an assassin. Together with Boom Boom and Grub, a toddler clone of himself, they seek revenge in the name of The Void.

The One:12 Collective Gomez: Lone Roach is outfitted in a kimono, hakama, removable waist belt, and removable haori. A swordsman of inter-dimensional legend, Gomez comes complete with both a short and long katana with sheaths that tuck neatly into his waist belt, and a Zip Sword and sheath with cross-body strap. Gomez is never without his boom box sidekick, Boom Boom, which is customizable via an included sticker sheet.

Small but powerful, Grub is a fierce ronin warrior. He fits in Gomez’s backpack with adjustable straps and hook-and-loop closure. The duo travel via hoverboard, which magnetically attaches to Gomez’s feet.

Included is a 14” x 10” poster depicting Lone Roach & Grub as they walk the lonely path of the masterless samurai.

Receiving instructions via a combination of subliminal broadcasts and interfacing with his trusty boom box sidekick, Boom Boom, Gomez is ready for any inter-dimensional mission. What adventures lie ahead? You decide.

The Roach of all Roaches

Based off videos and seeing this in real time is amazing. The articlation and poses of this figure are the tops. This figures design and concept have to be one of the best thus far developed by Mezco. These guys have a great product and keep topping their own inventions with new and exciting figures. The Gomez has become an instant hit and look forward to buying more of these cockroaches !

Mezco Toyz Exclusive Lone Roach and Grub Figure Review

Not too long ago,we saw our first glimpse of the Lone Roach and Grub in one of Mezco's awesome stop motion videos. I want to take a moment and commend Mezco on upping their marketing game as they have been creating the one:12 line now for almost 5 years! I appreciate this aspect of their releases as it really helps add the to the characters personality. Most people were really blown away with the tiny Grub that comes with this figure, and for good reason. When I first opened him up and was posing and playing with him, I got a lot of good ideas for pictures and customs. I'm excited to finally review this duo and see how they hold up to the other Gomez releases.

Overall
Lone Roach and Grub sold out on Mezco's website in less than 10 minutes, and I think that states the love everyone has for this particular Gomez. I really liked the color choices for all 3 Gomez heads, as well as the Haori and the long flag/bo staff that he comes with. If you are into Ninjas or Samurai's this is probably the Gomez for you to get. Not long ago at the Asia Goal convention Mezco released two ninjas the Shadow Assassin in a black and white version. I currently do not own either of those versions and I don't think the aftermarket prices of $400+ are worth it on any figure except for maybe a PX Punisher. Lone Roach is going for about $160-$200 on the aftermarket which is a pretty fair price considering he was an exclusive and sold out so quickly.

One of the best figures from mezco.
The Roach with the Most.
Beautiful sculpt and color.
Must have for for the roach line.
The lil grub is amazingly cute.
