Product Description

“You could have dinner with us... my brother makes good head cheese! You like head cheese?”

In ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, a group must do everything they can to escape the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface, who wears a mask made of human skin.

Depress the button discretely hidden on Leatherface’s back to hear the revving of his infamous chainsaw - with and without a bloodcurdling scream, and the sound of the camera from the opening scene of the movie.

Leatherface wears a short-sleeve collared shirt and tie under his apron, slacks, and cowboy boots. He comes complete with a chainsaw accessory that he can hold neatly in his right hand.

Leatherface stands approximately 15" tall and features 11 points of articulation. He comes packaged in a window box, perfect for display.

The MDS is family...

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974): Leatherface with Sound

The saw is family and now Leatherface is part of the Mezco family. Once again they outdo themselves with the intricacies of detail that went into this figure. The dirt/paint made me chuckle at how brilliant the designers are at coming up with the little things to make these toys perfect for collectors.

The saw is pretty much an exact replica. The tie and other clothes are perfectly on point with the beloved horror figure right down to the ultra detailed cowboy boots. I know I'm always putting out something that would make things a touch too far for one of these, but it would have been nice to remove the mask. As it is, that's literally the only downside to this guy. Not that we ever get to see that in the film, but still, I love being able to see under things and it would have been fun to get a little Gunnar nod if possible.

Anyway, the audio on this is good considering the other figures in the same line. With noises like a chainsaw it could be something to mess up recordings but they did a good job capturing all the sound. It's actually like they just used the sounds directly as captured from the movie. The creepy camera flash sound is probably more favorite than the chainsaw noises.

This is a great piece for Chainsaw fans. Honestly, I'd rather have him out of the box than sitting in it because what is Leatherface without being able to brandish that yellow saw. Nothing on these ever really feels fragile but I'd be a little careful with the saw teeth and maybe the saw itself. It's not super easy to slip the saw into his grip but if you're deliberate about it and not just brutal, it's gonna be okay. Also, just watch the tie. It seemed like it could come off and wouldn't be easiest to get it back the way it comes. It would be a shame to not be able to get it back to how it looked straight out of the box.
