Glow-in-the-dark has never been so fun!
The 5 Points line is still new. I'm not all that much a fan of five point articulation figures, especially in this scale. Old school Star Wars type action figures hold no nostalgic value to me when we've come so damn far with the way action figures look and function today.
That being said, Mezco have delivered some amazing stuff with this line of figures. The Addams Family movie figures were absolute impressive. This Limited Edition figure is so incredibly fun, so it's no different and with the others in upcoming 5 Points line... it's just insane how Mezco has taken the idea that so many try to do and just made it this cool!
Part of Mezco Monsters this figure of Frankenstein is hopefully the just the first of many in the series. They put a lot of fun into this, as I said, including the price. $13.13 is a nice price for this but also a great nod for horror minded folks. The Glow-in-the-Dark feature is also a big deal for horror minded folks, especially when it comes to old school characters. I remember as a kid the whole glow-in-the-Dark thing was what drew me in. It's just fantastic!
The fact that I have a shelf dedicated to Frankenstein's Monster doesn't hurt either. This figure fits very nicely in with my other figures. They didn't skimp on the detail with this either. Most of this scale figure are over simplified. It's hard to give more detail with the characters are cartoons, but Frankenstein is not a cartoon and so they dove all in with this and gave some nice sculpting features to the figure.
Obviously, carded this guy still looks great, but opened the figure gives you so many options for display just because of his features. The glow-in-the-Dark, the detail, the 5 Points articulation, it's pretty great. You can see a lot of what can be done on Mezco's website; which by the way is the only place you can grab this figure as it is an exclusive to Mezco!
Overall, this figure was a nice surprise from the company that is all about collectors. I can't wait for their future products in this line!
