5/6/2005: Starting with Series 9 Living Dead dolls will never be the same!
As Ed, Damien & Mezco bring Living Dead Dolls back to its core roots of horror fan fare, we are enhancing the creepiness of the dolls.
As most of you already know we have redesigned the basic LDD body to have ball joints in the neck, shoulders & hips.
Also the Living Dead Doll trade mark coffin box has been tweaked ever so slightly with a delicate wooden grain & decay.
These modifications add a new dimension of eeriness to the dolls with more posability while keeping the dolls core esthetic. We hope you both find them disturbing & enjoyable.

4/11/2005: Mezco Toyz/Hot Topic Exclusive Edward Scissorhands
Hot Topic will be carrying a unique edition of Mezco’s Edward Scissorhands figure. This version of the figure will have a removable cloth outfit as worn by Edward in the movie and replicates him in his “civilian clothing”. His work shirt, pants and suspenders are removable to reveal Edward’s classic bound & buckled look underneath. This will give the customer the choice of having multiple styles of Edward while adding an extra interactive element to the figure. This exclusive Hot Topic version will be shipping at the same time as the regular assortment.
Look for Hot Topic’s exclusive Edward Scissorhands figure at your local Hot Topic store or on line at Boiler Room Forum and check out the pics!

2/9/2005: MEZCO IS PROUD TO SUPPORT THE TSUNAMI RELIEF EFFORT
The Tsunami that ravaged southern Asia this past December has created unprecedented damage, leaving the world’s geological landscape altered, and hundreds of thousands of people dead, and many more homeless and devastated. Mezco Toyz has donated toys to be auctioned off, as well as donated money directly to several charities. To further participate in the aid, which is so desperately needed, Mezco is donating $1.00 for every item that is sold through the Mezco Toyz Direct Store, for the next 60 days, for any item that a customer purchases at the online store, Mezco will donate $1.00 to the Tsunami relief efforts.
information below supplied by: Reuters, Associated Press, Agence France-Presse 1/20/05
The unofficial death toll from the tsunami hit more than 226,000 yesterday after Indonesia increased its toll to 166,320, adding about 70,000 people previously listed as missing.
The various government agencies' lists of dead now include more than 38,000 dead in Sri Lanka, more than 5300 dead in Thailand and 16,383 deaths in India. There have been 137 deaths recorded in East Africa, 74 killed in each of the Maldives and Malaysia, 59 dead in Burma and two in Bangladesh.
On Tuesday the United Nations listed the number of dead in Indonesia at 165,493. The Indonesian foreign ministry said 92,721 bodies have been buried so far in Aceh, including 1408 yesterday alone.
But there was confusion over the new Indonesian figures with that country's social affairs ministry still putting the toll at 114,978 with about 24,000 missing, according to the Associated Press.
A spokesman for Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Dino Djalal, was unable to clear up the confusion. "To be honest we don't have a set number, and we don't think we will ever know the exact tally".
About 3500 bodies were being collected each day in Indonesia.
There has also been confusion over the death toll in Sri Lanka, where the Public Security Ministry has counted 38,195 deaths, 7275 more than the National Disaster Management Centre.
Indonesia's health ministry said 617,159 people were still homeless in northern Sumatra, as aid workers warned that more must be done to get food to remote areas. In Malaysia, the chief of the US Pacific Command, Admiral Thomas Fargo, said American forces could wind down their relief efforts in the next month.
